Final Diagnosis: Arteriovenous Malformation of the Forehead Possibly of Superficial Temporal Artery Origin

Slide 1: The patient presents with an unusual hyperpigmented patch that appears to protrude when she bends down, acquiring a pink hue. A punch biopsy shows an unusual benign vascular lesion.
Slide 2: Dermal vessels are increased in number and show an aberrant architectural disposition within the dermis.
Slide 3: Aberrant dilated vessels are juxtaposed to hair follicles and eccrine ducts.
Slide 4: The vascular ectasia is most evident in the superficial dermis but is also present in the depths of the biopsy.
