Acantholytic Acanthoma

This is a benign lesion which usually presents in older patients as a solitary painless papule of the trunk. Histologically, the lesions are characterized by an acanthotic epidermis along with acantholysis that most frequently affects the suprabasilar portion of the stratum spinosum.
